Leeds United midfielder Weston McKennie has been left gushing over what Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic did on international duty.

The two Premier League players are teammates in the United States setup and are mainstays on the side.

The Americans beat Grenada 4-1 on 24 March and Pulisic had a hand in four of the goals as his side secured a comprehensive win.

McKennie said, per Goal, "To be completely honest, it's what I expected," McKennie said of Pulisic's game. "For him to be able to do it consistently and be back in that zone, it always helps the team out in the best way because he's one of the players on the team that can create things and can make things happen.

"Just to see him having fun and just playing his game and with the confidence that he has, it's amazing, so hopefully, we can look forward to many more like that."

Set to join permanently?

McKennie hasn't exactly set the world alight since moving to Elland Road but one cannot expect too much given how chaotic it was behind the scenes.

Jesse Marsch was the one who brought him to the club and within a few weeks was made redundant and there were interim coaches in charge.

The Juventus midfielder has done well playing alongside Tyler Adams but still does not look quite comfortable in the Premier League.

That's understandable as he's used to a far slower tempo in Italy and being at one of the top clubs, his side ends up dominating possession comfortably.

There were reports with Pulisic but now that March is no longer at the club, it seems unlikely that Leeds will go for the Chelsea attacker.

He has struggled in the Premier League since moving from Borussia Dortmund and the Whites are better off looking at other options.
