Leeds United could look to make a move for Ligue 1 midfielder Boubacar Kamara, who's set to be a free agent this summer.

According to LeedsLive, he definitely will not be signing a new deal at Marseille at the end of the season.

The Whites have been looking for a midfielder for the last two summers and he could be a perfect partner for Kalvin Phillips in the middle of the park.

As his deal is expiring, they can land his services on a free which will be viewed as a coup.

Leeds did not spend too much last summer and absolutely nothing in January which led them to be in a relegation battle.

Kamara, at 22, will be a perfect signing for them and will join with high upside.

He's still got his best years ahead of him so his sell-on price will also be incredible.

All that Leeds will require to shell out will be a signing on bonus, which is usually higher for free agents.

A salary matching his quality and importance to the team can be ironed out as well.

However, the Whites are not going to have a clear run at his signature as there are a host of clubs believed to be keen on signing him this summer.

The likes of Manchester United, Newcastle and Aston Villa all have deeper pockets than the Whites and could lure him with higher paydays.

These certainly are interesting times for Leeds and it remains to be seen if they can pull this one off.
