Leeds United could make a move for Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard.

According to ESPN, the 29-year-old is on his way out of Old Trafford at the end of the season.

The Red Devils are set to take on Brentford later on Monday (May 2) and he is set to say his goodbyes to the Old Trafford faithful in that game.

Recently, LeedsLive shared a list of five free agents that the Whites can potentially sign in the summer.

In that, they said that he would be a perfect fit for Jesse Marsch's system and could fit into the 4-2-2-2 system.

Lingard can play as an eight, a ten, a winger, an inside forward as well as a false nine.

Given the Whites' transfers in the past, they have made it a point to sign utility players.

Should they stay up, signing Lingard on a free transfer makes a whole lot of sense this summer.

Even if it doesn't work out, they will not regret this a great deal as he will be joining on a free.

Given how his "phenomenal" loan spell at West Ham worked out, Leeds fans can be optimistic that he could still have some more match-winning performances in him before he calls it a day.

Even if it isn't Lingard, the Whites undoubtedly need two more attacking midfielders this summer at the very least.
