Khuliso Mudau game time verdict shared as Leeds United eye new transfer

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Khuliso Mudau is unlikely to be a first-team regular for Leeds United instantly, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the fact that the 29-year-old has not yet played outside South Africa will mean that it will take him longer to adapt to life in England.

This comes after Soccer Laduma reported on 11 June that the Whites were considering signing the South Africa international.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Mudau:

"There are multiple factors he will have to adapt to, including physically, with the intensity of the league and mentally, with a massive change in his environment, climate, living situation and potentially being away from family and friends.

"It will take him some time to acclimatise to these changes and I’ll expect him to gradually be integrated into being a first-team regular.

"It also depends on how quickly he joins and how much of pre-season training he actually undergoes."

Leeds United must avoid Khuliso Mudau transfer

The signing of Mudau by Leeds is considered a risk due to his lack of experience in European football and the potential language and cultural barriers he may face.

The fact that he has not played outside South Africa could impact his performance and availability for the team.

Furthermore, the transition to a more physical and competitive English Championship may pose challenges for the defender.
