Leeds United star Jayden Bogle has shared the latest on a potential England call-up.

The right-back has been in fine form for the Whites so far this season, but was not selected for the recent Three Lions squad.

He has played in all five of the Peacocks' Premier League games, even notching a goal in the 3-1 win over Newcastle.

His Elland Road teammates James Trafford and Dominic Calvert-Lewin but Bogle was not in and around them on international duty.

Daniel Farke previously admitted that while the 26-year-old has been brilliant, he needs to do it for longer to be selected by Thomas Tuchel.

Bogle has now revealed whether the Football Association contacted him before the UEFA Nations League clashes, as his wait for recognition goes on.

What did Jayden Bogle say about potential England selection?

Bogle seems to be low in Tuchel's pecking order when it comes to his options on the right side of defence.

In an interview with The Athletic, the Whites man revealed that he has had no contact from the FA.

It states that he admitted it was no different from before, he was not considered for selection or to be on standby.

He then said: “For me and [James Justin], it was obviously a nice thing coming from the boss, we’re both very grateful for that.

“Personally, it’s just playing to the best I can, playing with confidence and then seeing what happens, anyone who gets a chance to represent their country is proud, and it’s a massive opportunity.

"It’s not to focus too much, but just to keep performing at club level and then if it happens, it happens.

“They’re massive games, when you’ve got the Euros, the World Cup, it’s massive memories that last a lifetime.

“When you’re growing up, you’d love to one day be able to represent your country, now it’s just about putting performances in at club level and being as consistent as possible.”

That is a huge shame, because his form definitely warrants a call-up for his country.

How has Bogle performed for Leeds this season?

Bogle has been top quality for the Whites so far this season.

Farke has previously labelled him as "outstanding" when his side were fighting for Championship promotion in January 2025, and he is living up to that tag once more in the Premier League.

According to data from FotMob, he is averaging 1.22 shots, 0.49 chances created and 2.20 touches in the opposition box per 90 minutes.

Defensively, Bogle makes 3.90 contributions per game, with 1.22 tackles, 2.68 recoveries and 1.95 clearances.

In terms of duels, he has won 50 per cent of his ground duels and 55.6 per cent of his aerial duels.

Of course, it will be tough to dislodge the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Reece James, but he should at least be in consideration given his form.

Bogle simply has to keep working hard and hope that Tuchel takes notice, and perhaps take inspiration from his teammates who have already impressed the German.

The latest snub will sting, but it should serve as motivation to play at an even higher level and not allow the manager to not pick him again.
