Jake Humphrey has taken aim at "Deluded" Leeds United fans during their Premier League clash against Spurs.

The BT Sport presenter hit back at those who don't believe the Whites are currently in a relegation battle.

Rio Ferdinand hit back at that view, insisting that with the "Horrendous" run of form at Elland Road, fans know exactly where they stand.

Speaking live on BT Sports' live coverage of the game ahead of kick-off, Humphrey took aim instantly.

"If they don't think that, then they are deluded," he said. "Becuase that is where they are."

Ferdinand responded and actually defended the fans, insisting they know exactly what position they are in right now.

"I think they 100% know that you look at the league, you look at the form table and they don't look like a team that put some wins together," he said.

"They don't look like a team with confidence, and they're shipping goals - crazy, horrendous run of form."

Here we go.

Is Humphrey being serious here?

The host even got a reaction from Ferdinand, and given his relationship with the fans at Elland Road, that tells you everything you need to know.

Leeds fans know the trouble the squad are in, but they also have a belief that Marcelo Bielsa and the squad can turn things around.

Currently, we are sitting in 15th, which isn't in the relegation zone and that has to be the motivation right now.

One or two wins and you shoot up the table given how tight it is in the Premier League at this moment in time.

Everton, Newcastle, Brentford, Norwich and Watford are all in the same areas right now, and they need wins too.

It is time to prove these wrong, starting today.
