Jesse Marsch claimed that performances were more important than results as Leeds United lost against Leicester despite dominating the game.

Glenn Hoddle was baffled by the fact that the American said that, given the Whites are facing a serious threat of relegation.

The BT Sport pundit took a swipe at him, saying that he may not be aware of how big the challenge is on his hands.

"I was a bit baffled when he came out and said the performance was more important than the points," Hoddle said on the All To Play For podcast.

"I’m not sure he’s aware of where they’re at. I said if they keep playing the man for man they’re in trouble, they’re going to go down.

"The players knew in their hearts they couldn’t keep playing like this and now they’ve got to listen to the new manager and it might just be enough for them."

We do not know what Marsch is talking about here.

Leeds had good games this season under Marcelo Bielsa too, but there was a plan about how to do things.

Just getting the team organised and asking the players to figure it out in the final third, is not the way to go about it.

The game against Aston Villa was a reality check about where the team really is and how long they have to go before they can be assured of Premier League safety.

Marsch needs to sort things out quickly and hopefully, a win against Norwich would help in giving the players some confidence.
