Leeds United defender Jayden Bogle starred in the Premier League last season.

The Whites found themselves in a relegation battle for periods, but in the end, they survived at a relative canter.

It was not the easiest term initially for Daniel Farke's side, with the boss under serious pressure before a run kickstarted at the end of 2025.

By the final weeks of the season, Leeds looked a seasoned top division outfit, with Bogle one of the standouts.

With Gabriel Gudmundsson on the other flank, the pair would form one of the league's best wide duos.

And after watching England at this summer's World Cup, Bogle might be carrying certain international ambitions next season.

Does Jayden Bogle have a genuine case for England call?

Back in May, Thomas Tuchel announced his first tournament squad as England boss.

Bravely, the German made the decision to leave out Trent Alexander-Arnold, with Tino Livramento and Djed Spence occupying the other right-back spots outside of Reece James.

Livramento would drop out before the tournament, while James would suffer an injury keeping him out until the latter stages.

In the round of 32 clash with DR Congo, former Leeds loanee Spence would take his spot out wide - failing to impress as the Three Lions edged through to the round of 16.

He did remain solid defensively as expected, but struggled in possession, with three wayward crosses and nine wayward passes across the 90.

Neither Spence, or Jarrel Quansah before his injury against Panama, have been able to come anywhere near the level of James.

Of course, James is a world-class full-back, but given the choice to leave out Alexander-Arnold, there does feel like there is a backup spot up for grabs.

Bogle made 34 appearances in the Premier League last term, scoring once and laying on two assists.

A bundle of energy down the right, capable of playing at wing-back and in a deeper right-back role, his inclusion would be a no brainer if he keeps up the form next term.

Jayden Bogle: Leeds have Premier League-leading weapon Daniel Farke can't lose

Where does Jayden Bogle rank among Leeds United signings?

Joining for £5million in 2024, Bogle has been an absolute steal.

In the Championship, he was a cut above his colleagues in the division, while he adapted seamlessly to the Premier League, having previously struggled with Sheffield United.

A lot of the current Leeds squad has been put together on a relatively small budget, with bargain deals secured for many.

But, the argument is there to be made that Bogle is the best of all, considering the fact that he is absolutely undroppable out on the right.

If the Whites are to rely on anyone heading into the coming season, it is their fullback pairing, with Bogle and Gudmundsson making up a wonderful duo.
