Georginio Rutter went wild live on Sky Sports after the Leeds United victory against Ipswich Town on Saturday (23 December).

After he was named the Man of the Match, the 21-year-old forward was visibly delighted as his Whites teammate Crysencio Summerville handed him the award at Elland Road.

The French under-21 international said "wow, first time", adding that he was "very happy" as he helped his side secure a 4-0 win over the Tractor Boys.

Thoroughly deserved

It was yet another exceptional performance from Rutter as he continues to lead the line superbly for Leeds this season.

Although the forward didn't get on the scoresheet himself, he showed great creativity in the final third as he helped his side get up the pitch and put Ipswich under pressure.

It's that quality on the ball that has helped him create several chances, having recorded nine assists in his 22 Championship appearances this season [Transfermarkt].

Leeds United

The Frenchman has developed a promising partnership with fellow attacker Joel Piroe, who notched his ninth league goal of the campaign in the convincing victory.

It takes the Whites to within seven points of the Tractor Boys and they will now be confident that they can challenge them for an automatic promotion place with plenty of games left to play.
