David Prutton has claimed that Leeds United winger Ezgjan Alioski is never too far away from the drama after the draw with Arsenal.

The Macedonian international was headbutted by Nicolas Pepe in the 0-0 stalemate, with the Ivorian subsequently sent off for his reaction.

Prutton admitted that the Whites needed to bring back some solidarity into their game, and the clean-sheet was their reward for that.

Writing in his Yorkshire Evening Post column on Saturday, Prutton admitted it was no surprise to see Alioski in the thick of things.

"Leeds returned to some solidity in their clash against Arsenal which was good to see after the 4-1 defeats to Crystal Palace and Leicester City," he wrote.

"That keeps them ticking along. Obviously, the game featured the controversy involving Gjanni Alioski who never seems to be too far away from that kind of thing."

We all know what Alioski brings to the table, but hidden behind all of the foolishness is a player full of ability and that must be highlighted.

Kieran Tierney had something to say at the final whistle, but there were no complaints that Pepe had stepped over the line at Elland Road.

Alioski is at the heart of everything around Leeds, and he has been very reliable for Marcelo Bielsa this season.

The 28-year-old's contract runs out at the end of the season, but Phil Hay has claimed that the Whites have opened preliminary talks over a new deal.

Every squad needs someone like Alioski, and even if he is in the middle of the drama, none of it has ever effected Leeds negatively, so keep doing what you're doing Gjanni.
