Leeds United have been linked with a late window move for Orlando City forward Daryl Dike this week.

TEAMtalk have reported that the Whites could bring the American international to Elland Road in a loan deal.

Any move is said to tick the boxes for the San Francisco 49ers too, who would welcome a fellow American in West Yorkshire.

It looks as though the deal is nowhere getting off the ground, though.

Julia Poe has shared an update on her personal Twitter account on Wednesday, as some of the Orlando squad returned to the main group for training.

"Good morning from Orlando City training," she wrote.

"Pato, Sebas Mendez and Andrés Perea are working individually on the sideline, while Daryl Dike and Mauricio Pereyra are back warming up with the rest of their teammates."

Nothing imminent.

If Leeds were contemplating a late swoop for Dike as suggested in this window, they would surely need to move quickly.

Should any move be close to completion, he surely wouldn't be training in another continent right now, especially given the COVID-19 rules around the globe.

All of the noise this side of the Atlantic is that any first-team signings are unlikely this month, and this link is likely just to be random transfer talk.

Dike is surely unlikely to return to the United Kingdom after his loan at Barnsley last season, and it looks as though he may be back playing in the MLS sooner rather than later.
