Darren Bent baffled by Leeds and Manchester United claim live on talkSPORT

Darren Bent couldn't believe what Andy Goldstein said about Leeds United and Manchester United after Sunday's 1-1 draw.

The Whites went behind in the 35th minute but found a way back in the second half through Dominic Calvert-Lewin and almost got the three points in the end with the chances they created.

Michael Carrick's team took a point away from West Yorkshire on 18 October, with the English manager under pressure after a poor start to the season.

Daniel Farke's side were arguably the in-form team coming into the game against Man United but couldn't get the job done at Elland Road.

Fans in LS11 were confident and ready to hand the Red Devils a bitter blow, but they survived the hostile atmosphere.

After seven games, the Peacocks have three more points than the Manchester club and are six places above them in the table.

Man United were under pressure coming into the Leeds game but managed to get through without losing.

While the Whites did lose to Arsenal, they were the better side for around 60 minutes at the Emirates Stadium.

The West Yorkshire outfit's displays this season have been impressive and they're considered contenders for a European spot.

However, Man United-mad pundit Goldstein can't seem to acknowledge that the Red Devils aren't the team they once were.

Bent suggested that considering the Peacocks' performances and the manager in charge, they are better than the Manchester club.

Goldstein kept on insisting that can't be the case since the game at Elland Road ended in a draw.

Speaking on talkSPORT on 19 October, Bent said, "Who has had a better season so far? Who looks better? Just one name. Leeds or Man United."

Goldstein responded, "Same," to which a baffled Bent replied, "They look the same, do they? Leeds look the same as Man United? Leeds look better than you this season."

Man United actions at Elland Road prove Daniel Farke's quality

Around a year ago, Farke was trying different tactics to pull Leeds away from the relegation zone.

Now, the likes of Man United are coming to Elland Road and tweaking their tactics to avoid a loss.

Carrick opted for a midfield-dominant side, playing Andrey Santos, Carlos Baleba, Youri Tielemans and Bruno Fernandes.

Yet the Whites dominated possession, while the Red Devils were happy to sit back and play on the counter.

It shows how far the West Yorkshire outfit have come in forcing changes from a team like Man United.

Farke's reputation has arguably grown ten-fold since the start of the season.
