Daniel Farke has confirmed that he is unhappy with Leeds United defender Junior Firpo after his suspension was confirmed.

The FA confirmed a three-match ban for the left-back for violent conduct after he appeared to headbutt Millwall defender Danny McNamara on 6 November.

Speaking after the 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers on 9 November, via Graham Smyth, Farke shared his verdict on the situation as his defender missed his first game.

He wrote on X: "Farke unhappy with Firpo's behaviour.

"Apologised for that. Also very unhappy that McNamara went and reported it to the referee when there was no injury. Against the ethos that Farke says he loved about English football."

Junior Firpo suspended at Leeds United

Thankfully, the Whites still headed into the international break with a big three points and eased their way to those at Elland Road without Firpo.

Another defender, Jayden Bogle, stole the headlines with a goal and was everywhere as Leeds cut the gap at the top to two points behind Sunderland.

Firpo has always had that snap in his game and was known to be a guaranteed yellow card in the Premier League after first arriving.

While that is still the case in some games, his attacking output has overshadowed that with countless assists making him a vital player for Farke.

Sam Byram did struggle, with a battle on the cards with Isaac Schmidt to take that spot for the next two games against Swansea and Luton after the break.

It will be interesting to see what happens after this two weeks, with some injured players hopefully stepping up their recoveries too.
