Alan McInally was left stunned as a goal scored by Manor Solomon for Leeds United against QPR was ruled offside in the first half.

Jayden Bogle opened the scoring with Joel Piroe sealing the three points, but it was Sam Byram caught offside before Solomon thought he had his first goal for the club.

McInally was covering the game live on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday[9 November, 15:39], and his excitement was subdued when the flag went up: "Here's a goal, cross in the middle, goal.

"No, it's not. Forget it. It's offside. Don't believe it."

Leeds United back to winning ways at Elland Road

Leeds lost 1-0 to Millwall on 6 November and needed to bounce back against QPR to keep the pace with table-toppers Sunderland.

Cifuentes' team came into the fixture 23rd in the league table, winless in their last eight matches in the Championship.

The Elland Road faithful had every right to expect their team to breeze past the visitors, and while they managed to get the three points, it could have been made much easier.

Byram looked lost for most of the fixture, while the Tottenham loanee missed a one-on-one against the opposition keeper which would've sealed the victory for the Whites earlier.

Piroe did replace Mateo Joseph after 70 minutes and it paid off in the end as the Dutchman found the back of the net to seal the victory.

Farke will hope the team can continue their momentum after the international break against Swansea on 24 November, as they go two points behind Sunderland at the top.
