Leeds United boss Daniel Farke must begin to trust Largie Ramazani otherwise his side could come up short in the promotion race.

The Whites' margin at the top of the Championship was reduced to just three points after their 1-1 draw with West Brom (1 March).

Farke can normally rely on his attackers to outscore the opposition but Daniel James, Manor Solomon, and Joel Piroe failed to produce their usual magic, allowing Sheffield United to close the gap again.

Farke has frozen Ramazani out at Leeds

The former Manchester United academy star has warmed the bench in the last two matches and has featured for 90 minutes just once since the FA Cup third-round win over Harrogate (11 January).

With the likes of James and Solomon not stepping up, Farke could have thrown Ramazani on and given his side some fresh impetus to torment the Baggies' defence.

However, the Belgium Under-21 international did not get onto the pitch and his manager may regret the decision after the usual reliable options failed to secure a win.

Ramazani has to step up for Leeds

The former Almeria man has notched four goals and two assists in 22 league matches for the Whites but that does not tell the full story of his Elland Road career so far.

The 24-year-old has only started seven matches in the second tier and has not started since the 1-0 win over Derby (29 December).

If Leeds are to secure Premier League football for next season and hold off the Blades and Burnley, Ramazani needs to be given minutes to take the burden off of the regular starters, who are at risk of burnout at a crucial period of the season.

The likes of James and Solomon need to know that there is competition for their place to ensure that they continue to play at their very best level to keep Ramazani or Wilfried Gnonto out of the starting side.

Not even bringing Ramazani on when you need a goal and making just two substitutions seems ridiculous and Farke needs to sort it out before it becomes a more serious issue.
