Brenden Aaronson may no longer be one of the first names on Daniel Farke's team sheet this season.

Aaronson has stepped up several times for Leeds this season, and looks like a Premier League player, unlike the last time he reached this level with the Whites.

However, Leeds' 3-0 loss to Brighton on 1 November proved that he is nowhere near the finished article, and he will still have poor moments.

Daniel Farke has trusted him so far, but that may not be the case after the dismal defeat on the south coast.

Daniel Farke spotted in furious moment after what Brenden Aaronson did

Brighton created eight shots against Leeds in the first half, and one was a result of the American losing the ball as he tried to make something happen at the Amex Stadium.

Aaronson gave the ball away in the first half, and his manager's frustration was clear as it allowed the Seagulls to have another chance.

Daily Mail reporter Aadam Patel spotted Farke's reaction to the incident, saying: “Brenden Aaronson lost the ball midway through the half, Farke turned to his bench and couldn’t hide his frustration as Brighton were handed opening after opening.”

Aaronson may lose his place in Leeds' starting line-up

Aaronson may find himself as the first name to be crossed off the team sheet after enjoying a run in the side recently, on the right flank.

Daniel James, who was so dangerous for Farke's side last season, is back from injury, and he could be selected in place of the 25-year-old.

  • Aaronson has one goal and no assists in 10 league matches this season
  • James has played six times, with no contributions
  • He notched 12 goals and nine assists in the Championship last time around

He is still far too inconsistent, and with the Welshman back in contention, he should find himself axed in the near future after infuriating his boss.

Farke needs to try to do something different, to ensure that his Peacocks side stay away from the relegation zone, and it may be dropping the 54-cap international.

They are currently five points ahead of the drop, but that could change rapidly if they are complacent and do not take out-of-form players out of the firing line.
