Marcelo Bielsa might consider dropping Dan James after he put in a stinker for Leeds United against Watford on Saturday.

While the end result was a win for the Whites, the performances of a number of players were below par, including the former Manchester United attacker.

The 23-year-old, who started in place of Jack Harrison failed to assert his authority on proceedings at Elland Road.

What was even more surprising was that Bielsa did not bring the Welshman off even though he was not up to the mark.

Had the side been chasing a goal, James would've been one of the worst to be withdrawn.

Against Watford, James, who's known to be a good dribbler, failed to complete any of his four attempted dribbles. [Sofascore]

Of his 15 attempted passes, which is already a relatively low number, he completed just nine with an accuracy of 60 percent.

Overall, he lost possession of the football a staggering 19 times, very frequently in the final third.

Had he not been in the eleven, there was a better chance of the Whites scoring a second and putting the game beyond all doubt.

Last season, Harrison had 16 goals and assists in the league alone, and is an upgrade on the Welshman who seems to have no end product whatsoever.

We failed to understand Bielsa's reasoning in getting him to Elland Road this summer and thus far it still remains as one big question mark.

Harrison needs to start the next game against Southampton as it's not going to be easy creating chances and Leeds need a player capable of finding the back of the net.
