Every single Leeds United fan will know not to get ahead of themselves this season.

It was all going swimmingly in the previous campaign, and many thought promotion was guaranteed when the Whites were ahead at Christmas and top of the pile for the majority of the season.

That came crumbling down, and the players, management, and fans will all use that as motivation to make sure that it's different this year.

Neil Warnock recently gave his verdict on the Championship season as a whole and revealed that he had one slight concern over the Whites despite their success recently.

"Leeds and West Brom have proven that they are just a cut above everybody else," he said on talkSPORT.

"Leeds panic a little bit after Christmas like last year, you know they lose a game or two, but I don't think the league is as strong as it was.

Warnock was then asked who he believes will secure the two automatic promotion spots in the Championship, and his answer was very straight-forward after just passing the halfway mark of the campaign.

"I think Leeds and West Brom will be the two."

Those comments set up a rather mouthwatering clash at the Hawthorns on New Year's Day then, with Leeds going up against their main promotion rivals in the Midlands.

A win against the Baggies would give them a three-point gap to Slaven Bilic's side, and more importantly, keep the considerable gap to third place at a minimum of nine points.

Warnock has spent a large period of his career in the Championship, including a spell at Leeds and he knows what it takes to get out of this division so the Whites must take this as a massive compliment.
