'Inevitable' - Journalist reveals what has 'Tweaked slightly' at West Brom ahead of Leeds clash
A similar result from the return fixture against West Brom would set Leeds United up perfectly for the New Year.
The Whites were the only team to beat West Brom this season before their defeat to Middlesbrough on Sunday. That isn’t the first bad result recently though, with draws against Wigan and Brentford shadowing their poor performances.
Marcelo Bielsa will not care how his side get the job done, but three points would put slight daylight between them and the Baggies for the first time in a while.
West Brom journalist Joseph Chapman has answered some questions on the Baggies and has claimed that recent weeks have been a real blow to their confidence.
“Just in the last few weeks, the mood has been tweaked slightly,” he told Leeds Live.
“After that Swansea demolition, the club and the fans were riding the crest of a wave now, they’re keeping a closer eye on the gap between the top two and the chasing pack.
“The performances have many supporters worried that this might be more than just a blip, even though Bilic himself has warned for most of the season that such a run in this division is inevitable.”
So, that could definitely be something Leeds could take advantage of. The difference between the two sides could be that when the Whites drop points they still dominate games.
West Brom struggled against a Middlesbrough side that looked hopeless against Leeds, and that would have given Bielsa great hope in his pre-match analysis in the build-up to this clash.
