A supercomputer has predicted the final Championship standings after Leeds United, Leicester City and Ipswich all won their respective matches on Monday (1 April).

The Foxes began the day with a 3-1 comeback victory over Norwich City before the Tractor Boys claimed an even more dramatic win against Southampton, while also reclaiming their spot at the top of the Championship.

The pressure was on Leeds as they faced Hull City in the last match on Monday, and after Fabio Carvalho cancelled out Sam Byram's opener, late goals from Crysencio Summerville and Dan James claimed all three points.

According to Opta Analyst [5 April], Leicester are still favourites to win the title race, with a 43.26 per cent chance of doing so. However, this has dipped from 58.4 per cent since 19 March.

Leeds have a 34.04 per cent of winning the title, compared to Ipswich's 22.52 per cent, despite sitting atop the Championship table.

When it comes to the automatic promotion spots, Ipswich are the least likeliest to finish in the top two despite currently being above their rivals in the table.

Enzo Maresca's men still remain the most likely team to finish in the top two, boasting a 75.32 per cent chance, with Leeds at 68.84 per cent and Ipswich at 54.92 per cent.

While the supercomputer's predictions will come as a relief to those at Elland Road, Daniel Farke will be fully focused on his team's performances and no one else's.

The German has been in this position before with the Canaries, having taken them to the Premier League twice between 2017 and 2021.

Due to this experience, Farke will know that Leeds cannot rely on Leicester or Ipswich to slow down, and must trust that his players have enough drive and determination to take their fate into their own hands.

The upcoming fixtures may be a worry for the Whites, with in-form Blackburn Rovers, QPR and fellow promotion hopefuls Southampton still to play.
