Leeds United loanee Largie Ramazani turned out in a costly Burnley defeat on Saturday.

The Clarets had won just one of their opening 11 Championship games ahead of their trip to Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon.

It's now one win in 12, as the newly-promoted Imps routed the Clarets to the tune of four goals to one.

For a side that's just come down from the Premier League, this was a hugely sobering result for Burnley, and one loss too many for Nicky Hayen.

Shortly after the full-time whistle blew at Sincil Bank, Burnley confirmed that Hayen had been relieved of his duties as their head coach.

As such, it now leaves the Clarets and Ramazani in a very uncertain position.

Why did local media somewhat absolve Largie Ramazani of Burnley criticism?

Signing for Burnley in this season's summer window, Ramazani penned a season-long loan deal with the Turf Moor outfit.

Burnley have the obligation to purchase the winger from Leeds permanently next summer too.

As a result, the 25-year-old is in this for the long haul, and so he will absolutely concern himself with Burnley's situation on and off the pitch.

Ramazani played the full 90 minutes in the defeat to Lincoln, and didn't play a role in Andreas Hountondji's goal that actually gave the Clarets a first-half lead.

Judging his performance were the Burnley Express, who wrote: "At least showed a bit of pace and threat, but very little came off for him. Five."

It's hardly a glowing review for the Belgian, but it at least shows that he was trying to do the right things and was far from the worst out there for Burnley.

But even despite the embarrassing defeat, was this Ramazani review still slightly harsh on the Leeds loanee?

Where Ramazani led all players in Lincoln vs Burnley

There will have been few Burnley players able to emerge with credit from this one, but Ramazani should.

As detailed via FotMob, no player took more touches (70) or completed more dribbles (three) than Ramazani did on Saturday.

Meanwhile, he also created one chance, one big chance, had two shots, attempted 10 crosses and played four passes into the final third.

Ramazani won eight of his 14 ground duels, played two accurate long balls, made four recoveries, won two tackles and won three fouls.

It's hard to give any player a high rating who played every minute in a 4-1 defeat that cost a manager his job, but Ramazani does deserve his flowers.

He's been largely very good for Burnley this season despite their struggles, scoring twice and providing an assist from nine Championship games.

Ramazani's performance at Sincil Bank didn't deserve to see him on the losing side, and no player in Burnley Express' ratings got higher than a five.
