Bilic comments on Leeds & West Brom in C'Ship promotion race, claims these sides are dreaming
West Brom manager Slaven Bilic has claimed that the chasing pack in the Championship are dreaming of catching the Baggies and Leeds United.
Bilic did, however, claim that it is easier to be in the chasing pack at this point of the season, with club's in the play-offs wanting to make the top-two.
The Croatian didn't want to speak about Leeds too much but admitted that the Whites are currently the side within the crosshairs of clubs behind them.
Bilic pointed out that being in the top-two comes with that added pressure, and that is something his side and Leeds have to deal with.
"There is no point talking about the gap or Leeds," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"It is much easier to be third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh than first or second. They are dreaming. If you read about Forest, they are dreaming they are hoping to get in the top two.
"But when you are top two you have to (win promotion). That is a pressure you have to cope with."
The pressure is something that swallowed Leeds up last season. Despite the Whites being in the top two for the longest period of any side in the division they still ended up third in the league and lost in the play-offs.
That is the harsh reality of the Championship. Leeds need to take it game-by-game just as Bilic says, with the Whites having somewhat of an easier run-in than the Baggies.
Looking at this index, West Brom still have a number of sides currently in the play-offs to play, whereas Leeds only have Fulham to entertain - something which could take its toll.
