Bielsa reveals one part that makes Leeds job attractive, claims it's 'best thing in football'
Marcelo Bielsa has claimed that the Leeds United supporters are one of the best things in football in his recent press conference.
The South American admitted that the contact with passionate fans at Elland Road is something that makes the job so attractive in West Yorkshire.
Bielsa also acknowledged the need for the club to be back in the Premier League on Thursday, revealing he shares that ambition in his role.
Bielsa was commenting on how he deals with expectations when in charge of the Whites, as he opened up on the wishes of the fans sat in the stands.
"I realise the wishes and desire of the people of Leeds," he said.
"If there is something that makes this job attractive, it's when I am in contact with the passion of the fans. The supporters are the best thing in football."
If there is one thing that has followed Bielsa during his career in management, it is passionate support. You still hear stories of the fans back in Argentina and his former club Newell's Old Boys.
There is a weekly example of the following that Leeds would bring to the Premier League if Bielsa was able to fulfil the dream of earning promotion this season.
We were at Old Trafford at the beginning of the month to witness the under-18's unfortunate 1-0 defeat to Manchester United. Being in the middle of the passionate following of over 1000 fans was yet another great experience with the Whites and something we can all look forward to on a bigger scale if the Premier League dream is finally achieved.
