'Bang average' - Some Leeds fans react to attacker display in U23s draw v Wolves

Leeds United fans have offered a mixed reaction to Ian Poveda's performance for the Under-23s on Friday night.

Poveda, 19, played the entire 90 minutes of the 1-1 draw against Wolves at Bootham Crescent in York, suggesting that he is set to miss out of Marcelo Bielsa's matchday squad when the first-team take on Reading on Saturday.

Since joining the Whites from Manchester City in January, Poveda has failed to play in the first-team.

He was on the bench twice after he arrived but Bielsa is now set to overlook the winger for a fourth Championship fixture in a row.

Poveda is now having to prove himself in the Under-23s before Bielsa calls on him to make his senior debut.

However, based on how fans reacted to his display against Wolves' Under-23s, it could be a while before we see that happen.

While some were impressed with what they saw from Poveda, there were others who issues a scathing verdict of the attacker's performance.

One even dubbed the youngster as being "bang average" at Bootham Crescent - although one tipped him to play in a similar role to what Samuel Saiz did when he was at Elland Road.
