Andrea Radrizzani flies to the United Kingdom to oversee process for new Leeds United manager
Leeds United owner and chairman Andrea Radrizzani has reportedly flown to the United Kingdom from Italy to oversee the new manager process.
According to the Daily Star [7 February], he will not be sanctioning moves for Marcelo Bielsa or Mauricio Pochettino amid links to the two Argentine managers.
The Italian does want a new manager to be in place for the game against rivals Manchester United on Sunday, 12 February.
No plan in mind?
Before sacking Marcelo Bielsa, the Leeds hierarchy had a plan as to what they want their next course of action to be.
Jesse Marsch was on Victor Orta's radar for a while and the process to finalise his appointment after the Argentine's departure was far from a tough one.
However, this time, they have to draw up shortlists, weigh up pros and cons, make approaches, conduct interviews and go through all of it each time they have a different manager they want to discuss.
It's surprising as results have been bad since before the World Cup and Marsch did not even have as much credit in the bank as Bielsa did.
Relegation is going to be disastrous for Radrizzani and he certainly knows that it's going to take a fair chunk out of the club's valuation.
Before things got any worse, he had to pull the plug on Marsch and he now has to do his best to find a suitable replacement for the American.
