Wilfried Gnonto could potentially be on his way out of Leeds United in the upcoming transfer window unless something drastic happens.

The Italian winger has had to settle for a position on the bench this season after starring for the Whites in their push for promotion to the Premier League.

Gnonto came off the bench once against Wolves and had an impact in the West Yorkshire outfit’s 3-0 victory.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the 22-year-old looking for pastures new in the summer after falling down the pecking order, and with Daniel Farke on course to achieve the goal of Premier League safety, there may be no room for the attacker in the German manager’s plans.

Gnonto has put in some decent cameos at Elland Road this season, but they may not be enough to secure his future in LS11, with an exit looking inevitable.

Gnonto replaced Noah Okafor for the final 23 minutes of the game at Elland Road on 18 April, playing the ball in behind Wolves’ defence that led to Dominic Calvert-Lewin winning the penalty and subsequently scoring the third.

The Italian ace had 17 touches of the ball in the match, completing one dribble and two carries, as per Sofascore.

Gnonto recorded one key pass in the fixture, attempted one cross and won one of the ground duels he attempted.

The attacker has started four Premier League games this season, providing one assist and creating one big chance, but it remains to be seen how long he remains at the West Yorkshire outfit.

Daniel Farke already looks at Elland Road future

With Premier League survival all but confirmed at Leeds, Farke will no doubt have an eye on the summer and will have plans in mind regarding recruitment.

VfL Wolfsburg forward Mohamed Amoura is a target at Elland Road going into the upcoming transfer window, which may spell the end for Gnonto at the Whites.

With game time already hard to come by for the former Inter Milan youngster, reinforcements up front at the West Yorkshire outfit will surely make his life even more difficult.

A party atmosphere will certainly engulf LS11 in the coming weeks, but there may be some sombre goodbyes at the end of the season.
