Leeds United may revisit Rodrigo Muniz transfer after encouragement last summer
Leeds United could potentially pursue a deal for Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz in the upcoming transfer window.
Daniel Farke expects to be backed at Elland Road in the summer and 49ers Enterprises may have to splash the cash to reinforce the squad in the coming weeks.
While Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha have turned out to be astute additions to the West Yorkshire outfit’s squad, they certainly could do with more attacking depth.
According to The Athletic, Muniz was a leading target for the Peacocks last summer before they secured the former Everton ace on a free transfer and the LS11 hierarchy were given encouraging signs regarding a move for the Brazilian forward before the trail eventually went cold.
Farke should ask for a new striker at Elland Road and the 49ers may revisit the Fulham star as an option.

Rodrigo Muniz catches eyes of Leeds United recruitment chiefs
Leeds weren’t impressed by any of the alternatives to Muniz last summer, as sporting director Adam Underwood, managing director Robbie Evans and head of recruitment Alex Davies looked for a new number nine.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Elland Road hierarchy table an offer for the 25-year-old striker who has had a difficult season at Craven Cottage.

| Starts | 9 |

The Brazil national has missed much of the 2025-26 campaign due to a hamstring injury and has struggled to return to the starting lineup since.
A move to the West Yorkshire outfit may present a fresh start for Muniz, with Farke clearly looking to establish them in the Premier League after securing safety.
Daniel Farke transfer priority evident at Elland Road
With Joel Piroe likely on his way out of Leeds, Farke will surely need a few additions up front in the summer.
The Suriname international has struggled for game time at the Whites after falling down the pecking order behind the likes of Calvert-Lewin and Nmecha.

If the West Yorkshire outfit have any ambitions of pushing further up the table, they should look to sign quality players who have proven themselves in the English top flight.
Muniz has had some encouraging seasons at Fulham and his arrival would certainly strengthen the Peacocks’ squad.
