Leeds United: Jack Harrison’s future comes clear as Fiorentina make internal transfer decision
Leeds United still have Jack Harrison on their books, and they may have to welcome him back to Elland Road this summer after a failed loan move to Fiorentina.
The Whites could have banked up to £6million for a buy option inserted in the loan star’s contract with the Serie A club, but that doesn’t look to be the case.
Daniel Farke seemed to be willing to give Harrison another chance in the first half of the season, but the player clearly failed to win the Leeds boss over, as his minutes were limited.
According to Leeds Live, Fiorentina have indeed already made the decision against signing Harrison permanently, which will see the Whites miss out on the £6m fee.
Leeds could still sell Harrison this summer, with the Englishman still tied down to Elland Road for two more years.

Why are Fiorentina opting against permanent Jack Harrison stay?
Harrison has struggled with Fiorentina in Italy and has been unable to make himself a regular starter.
When he has played, he’s not impressed internal figures at the club, nor his manager, but that’s not the only reason the Serie A giants are making this call.

Fiorentina’s transfer chief, Fabricio Paratici, is said to want to conduct a overhaul this summer, after recently joining the Italian side from Tottenham earlier this year.
He wants a clear out and to implement his own strategies, and though he was involved in signing Harrison, he is against signing the Leeds star permanently.

Despite having some attacking input in recent games, the 29-year-old looks all but set for a Thorp Arch return this summer, which isn’t exactly good news for the 49ers.
Leeds may struggle to sell Harrison now
With Harrison tied down to Leeds until 2028, the Whites will be hoping to get him off the wage bill as soon as possible.
However, the left-winger is on Premier League wages of £44,000 per week, and has not been at the races for the past couple of seasons.
With that said, the Whites may find it hard to find interest in Harrison this summer, who will most likely demand a higher salary than his performances justify.
It may be best for both parties if a mutual termination of the contract is agreed upon, though that would depend on what the player values more: money or playing time.
