Daniel Farke certainty emerges on Leeds United future after Wembley trip

Daniel Farke‘s position as Leeds United manager is reportedly in no doubt heading into the summer.

The German regularly saw his future called into question last summer, and indeed at the start of the campaign, but he managed to fend those rumours off.

Leeds now look safe from Premier League relegation, having also reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they lost to Chelsea.

Farke is no stranger to hearing rumours regarding his future, but things may be a little different ahead of next season.

As Leeds prepare for their final run-in of 2025-26, a new managerial update has now dropped.

Alex Crook shares update on Daniel Farke’s future at Leeds United

Leeds’ trip to Wembley may have ended in heartbreak, but making it to the last four of the FA Cup for the first time since 1987 was still an achievement in its own right.

Bigger than that, though, will be keeping Leeds in the Premier League. Realistically, one more point should do the trick for the Whites.

That would be quite some doing from Farke, who dealt admirably over questions regarding his future last year.

Now, in an update provided via talkSPORT, Alex Crook report that Farke will definitely not be leaving Elland Road this summer.

“There were question marks earlier in the season,” he said. “But after a trip to Wembley, he is definitely safe.”

That will be music to Farke’s ears and it will ensure the 49-year-old can pretty much start planning for a second season back in the Premier League.

It is also great news as far as Paraag Marathe and the 49ers go as the managerial uncertainty last year did not help anyone.

How does Farke’s record compare to Leeds predecessors?

Farke has a win rate of just over 50 per cent as Leeds manager, having won 72 of his 144 since taking charge in July 2023.

That includes a Premier League promotion winning campaign, survival in the West Yorkshire club’s first season back in the big time, plus the recent run to Wembley.

Incredibly – and helped by a couple of seasons when winning was a regular occurrence in the Championship – Farke’s win rate is bettered by only a couple of Leeds bosses down the years.

The legend that is Don Revie had a 53 per cent win rate, while Neil Redfearn actually tops the list on 75 per cent.

With a couple more wins from Leeds’ remaining fixtures, it may well be that Farke closes in on Revie in that list.

Even if Leeds do not win again this term, though, survival looks assured and that will rightly mean Farke is going nowhere.
