Leeds United out to achieve 25-year first as Brighton visit Elland Road
Leeds United will look to conclude their campaign at Elland Road in winning style when they host Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.
The Whites were already assured of Premier League survival with three games remaining thanks to West Ham’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal last Sunday.
Daniel Farke‘s men certainly did not lack motivation to continue building momentum, though, as they battled to a 1-1 draw away at Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.
There are now two games remaining, with the visit of Brighton followed by a trip to West Ham United on the final day.
And should Leeds see off Brighton in the first of those, it would mark a 25-year first for the Whites.

Leeds seeking third successive Elland Road win
While Leeds’ survival was made mathematically certain with West Ham’s loss to Arsenal, the truth is that safety was in the bag long before that.
Winning away at Old Trafford was the moment many started to stop worrying about any sort of relegation battle.
| Team | Date | Venue |
| Brighton and Hove Albion | Sunday 17, May | Elland Road |
| West Ham United | Sunday 24, May | London Stadium |
A 3-0 win over Wolves and 3-1 victory against Burnley in the past two matches at Elland Road put even more distance between the Whites and the bottom three.
And should Leeds beat Brighton on Sunday, it would mark the first time since August 2001 they have won three Premier League home games in a row.
Not since November 2000, meanwhile, have Leeds won three in a row at home in the top flight while scoring three or more goals each time.

Given the way Farke’s men are playing, neither of those can be ruled out right now, even if Brighton are a bogey team of sorts.
Supercomputer updates Leeds’ expected Premier League finish
Leeds were predicted to finish 15th in the Premier League by Opta‘s supercomputer prior to last weekend’s fixtures.
That has now been upgraded to 14th place, which is where United find themselves in the actual table anyway.
Farke’s side are predicted to finish with around 46 points, suggesting the supercomputer is anticipating a couple of draws from the last two games.
Some may consider that a bit of an anti-climax to the campaign, but it should not be looked at that way.
The manner in which Farke has made Leeds very tough to beat must be hailed as one of the achievements of the season.
That can only bode well for 2026-27, when the initial aim will once again to stay above the dotted line.
