Daniel Farke won’t say this about Leeds United, but I will
Daniel Farke will be waiting for mathematical confirmation, but Leeds United are not at risk of relegation now.
The Whites have hit form at the perfect time again, with their latest 3-1 victory over already relegated Burnley at Elland Road.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin was back on the scoresheet from open play, while Noah Okafor showed his quality with yet another neat finish.
It’s a win that takes Leeds up to 14th in the table, above Newcastle and only three points behind Sunderland, who are well quoted as being in the race for European football.
Farke will still refuse to admit that Leeds have achieved safety, but that win against the Clarets all but confirmed it.

What would it take for Leeds to be relegated now?
Something quite extraordinary, in all honesty.
With most sides having just four games to play at the time of writing, Leeds are nine points clear of the bottom three.
| Premier League | Played | Points | GD |
| Leeds 14th | 35 | 43 | -5 |
| Tottenham 18th | 34 | 34 | -10 |
Even if West Ham, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest were all to win this weekend, there would still be a six-point cushion for the Whites.
And much of that is down to their form, with only five sides having picked up more points since gameweek 25.

From that point, it would require just four points from the last three games to make absolutely sure of survival, though it’s likely that Leeds already have enough points to cement their spot in the Premier League for another campaign.
What’s next for Leeds United?
Recruitment will be the main focus before you know it, and while Leeds will be happy with the squad they have, improvements will be needed to progress next season.
Adding more firepower to the forward line will be a necessity, as will signing a new goalkeeper, given the struggles they have had there.
Dmytro Riznyk has been linked with Leeds to satisfy the latter, while several targets will already be under consideration to address the former.
The pressure has already evaporated from Elland Road, with planning now likely to be underway for the new campaign.
