Daniel Farke has named his starting eleven for Leeds United‘s game against Brighton, and it has some interesting team selections.

The Whites host the Seagulls at Elland Road this Sunday in the final home game of the Premier League season.

Farke has secured Leeds’ stay in the top-flight, so it will be interesting to see how the players perform when under no pressure at home.

Brighton are playing for a spot in Europe this season, and will be no easy turnover, though Farke’s lineup will be telling of how the game pan’s out.

Farke has picked his time to face Brighton, and it includes Brendan Aaronson, which will come to the disappointment of many fans.

There is some uncertainty surrounding Farke’s future at Elland Road after the comments he made at the pre-match press conference before the Brighton game.

The German head coach has done well to turn things around in LS11, but he insists on keeping some things the same.

One of which is the decision to keep including Aaronson, a choice that continues to haunt Leeds fans.

The attacking midfielder has nine goal contributions in the league this season, but hasn’t scored since 7 January, which says it all.

The rest of the lineup is as you would expect, with key starters in most areas of the field, but youngster Rhys Chadwick makes the bench.

Aaronson is a divisive figure in LS11, but at this stage of the season, you’d expect Farke to give someone else a chance.

Surely there’s a youngster that can be tested, but the Leeds boss is clearly never going to learn his lesson.

The scary proposition Brighton bring to Leeds

As mentioned earlier, Brighton will be no easy pushover, and Fabian Hurzeler has the Seagulls in a feel-good moment.

Brighton have lost just one time in their last seven games, but the most scary proposition that Leeds face is the visitors’ attack.

Hurzeler’s side have scored in each of their last seven games, netting three against Wolves and Chelsea most recently.

Farke’s defence will have their work cut out for them, but a clean sheet here would arguably be the most impressive one of the season.
