Daniel Farke makes Pascal Struijk decision as Leeds United starting XI named vs West Ham

Daniel Farke said that Pascal Struijk had been in training, but was a doubt for Leeds United ahead of their final Premier League showdown of the season against West Ham United.

The Dutchman missed the final game at Elland Road with a hip issue, but has been in contention to start for the West Ham game since an update from the Whites boss.

Farke is looking forward to the affair, and has admitted that his side will be looking for three points at the London Stadium this Sunday.

That starts with having a strong defence, as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side is fighting with everything they’ve got to stay in the Premier League.

Leeds could do with the inclusion of Struijk, and that’s what they’ve got, as Farke has named his 38th and final squad of the league season.

Daniel Farke makes Pascal Struijk and Jayden Bogle decision

Farke had positive injury news regarding Struijk and others in his pre-match press conference, but did admit that the likes of Noah Okafor, Gabriel Gudmundsson, and Ilia Gruev would all miss the game.

Jayden Bogle was the second star he named as a doubt for the clash in E20, with James Justin already covering at left-wing back.

Struijk in PL this season

Bogle has been struggling with a hamstring issue, and it once again highlights where the Whites need to strengthen in depth this summer.

Ahead of the game, Farke has submitted his starting eleven, as both Bogle and Struijk have made a comeback to start the match from the off.

This will most likely see Justin cover over on the left, with Struijk joining the back three along with Jaka Bijol and Joe Rodon.

The Whites look like they’re going to give everything for the win and end the season on a positive note.

Daniel Farke must give youth stars chance of bench

The saying that Leeds have nothing to play for in this game is nonsense, however, it is a good time to test some things out.

Farke will have next season in the forefront of his mind, and may give some usual benchwarmers a final cameo and a chance to sway his mind.

But their are several Thorp Arch products on the bench that have been included in recent matchday squads, but have not made an appearance, despite a confirmed Premier League status.

Rhys Chadwick and Alfie Cresswell have both made the squad once again, and it would be a shame to see either of them not given minutes in this one.
