Daniel Farke furious at Leeds United players in off-camera moment vs Burnley

Daniel Farke was spotted fuming at a number of Leeds United players during Friday night’s win over Burnley.

Leeds claimed a 3-1 victory against already-relegated Burnley at Elland Road to move nine points clear of the relegation zone.

That effectively seals the Whites’ place in the Premier League for another season with a few matches to spare.

Anton Stach’s superb strike had Leeds a goal ahead inside eight minutes, but the hosts had to wait until seven minutes into the second half for Noah Okafor to add another.

And with Leeds unable to put Burnley to the sword prior to half-time, Farke was clearly not impressed with certain things he saw.

Thomas Bramall also feels Daniel Farke’s ire

Farke, so usually a very calm figure on the touchline, was particularly animated against Burnley on Friday.

Paraag Marathe certainly had plenty to smile about at Elland Road, even if Leeds had to wait until Okafor’s goal – followed up by another from Dominic Calvert-Lewin – to truly get the party started.

But as pointed out by Graham Smyth in the Yorkshire Evening Post‘s off-camera moments article, Farke could be seen “growing increasingly and visibly frustrated with referee Thomas Bramall”.

Not only that, the German was also “fuming with various outfield members of his side during the first half”, although it is fair to say his mood did improve, even if Loum Tchaouna did pull one back.

Farke needn’t have worried, with Leeds doing what they so often have done in recent times in digging deep to get the job done.

When can Leeds officially seal Premier League safety?

In truth, Leeds can lose each of their remaining matches – against Tottenham, Brighton and West Ham – and will almost certainly still stay up.

That is because Spurs are nine points behind and quite simply do not have three victories in them – nor do West Ham in 17th.

Should Spurs fail to beat Aston Villa on Sunday night, Leeds can officially celebrate another campaign of Premier League football.

If not, the Whites can get the job done in style when they travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a little over a week’s time.
