Leeds United vs Burnley: Paraag Marathe has reasons to smile after Daniel Farke leap of faith
Leeds United got a monumental victory against Burnley in the Premier League on Friday.
Daniel Farke’s team secured three points at Elland Road on 1 May and will now certainly be confident about avoiding relegation this season.
The German manager has done a fantastic job of turning the tide around in LS11 since November, when his job looked to be under threat.
As the Sky cameras turned towards Paraag Marathe, he had a serious look on his face despite the West Yorkshire outfit being in the driving seat, and the American owner undoubtedly has reasons to smile, one of them being taking a chance by keeping the 49-year-old head coach when under pressure.
Farke is a big part of the recent success at Elland Road, as Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goals sealed the 3-1 victory against the Clarets.

Leeds United show different class vs Burnley
Farke got his tactics spot on as Leeds had too much on offer for Mike Jackson at Elland Road.
The Whites dominated the opening 45 minutes, creating multiple opportunities and barely allowing the visitors any breathing room in the final third.

Since switching to playing five defenders, Farke has brought the best out of his key players at the West Yorkshire outfit, who are about to secure their goal for the 2025-26 campaign.
Burnley finished the previous campaign with the same points as the Peacocks, but the German manager has managed to unlock extra potential from his squad this time around.
Elland Road part atmosphere can start after Daniel Farke heroics
Leeds will be confident about avoiding relegation this season with just a few games to go in the Premier League.
The Whites would have surely had one goal at the start of the campaign — surviving the drop — and they’re close to achieving that.
Supporters in West Yorkshire weren’t too confident about their chances during Farke’s patchy spell, but the German manager has pulled a rabbit out of the hat in LS11.
The Peacocks have undoubtedly taken a step forward under the 49-year-old head coach and the Burnley game is an indicator of that.
