Alfie Cresswell can’t be ignored any longer as Leeds experiment likely
Alfie Cresswell deserves a chance to showcase his worth for Leeds United in the Premier League.
Leeds face Tottenham on Monday night, and given how much planning was likely done ahead of the game, Daniel Farke will not differ from his usual approach much, if at all.
However, the final two games of the season could offer the German the chance to test a few different things ahead of the new campaign, and that includes the introduction of youth stars.
Cresswell has shone for the Under-21s this season, as well as showcasing his versatility in the Premier League.
And with Leeds’ safety already confirmed, he deserves a chance at senior level.

How has Alfie Cresswell fared in the Premier League 2?
Overall, it’s been a tough campaign for Leeds’ Under-21s, though there have been several standout performers.
And Cresswell is right up there at the top of the list, having featured in 17 of their 20 league encounters this season.
| Premier League 2 | Cresswell |
| Games | 17 |
| Goals | 3 |
| Assists | 1 |
| Duels won | 92 |
| Fouls won | 34 |
In that time, the teenager has managed four goal contributions, though it is the defensive side of his game that has granted him the most praise.
Cresswell has made 105 defensive contributions this season, which places him among the top 1.8 per cent of players for his position.

The 18-year-old has won 34 tackles, completed 34 interceptions, and made 40 recoveries, which again places him among the top 1.2 per cent.
Daniel Farke must guard against complacency but risks can be taken
Leeds still have things to play for, but they also have room to experiment.
While it has been a good season, there are still several areas that can be improved next time out, and the final two games will be the perfect chance for Farke to find a way around it.
Several youth players will need to know where they stand, and if they don’t get their chance this season, it’s even more unlikely that they will next.
