Gabriel Gudmundsson shares first message as Leeds United injury wait continues
Gabriel Gudmundsson is the latest serious injury worry at Leeds United.
Leeds crashed to a 1-0 defeat at Wembley against Chelsea on Sunday, as they missed out on a first FA Cup final in decades.
That wasn’t the only bad news for Daniel Farke, however.
Gudmundsson started at left-wing-back again, but the Swedish international was unable to run for the final five minutes of action after picking up a hamstring issue.
Unfortunately, Leeds were already out of substitutions.
Farke confirmed that Gudmundsson’s injury would need to be evaluated, with little news being revealed ahead of Burnley coming to Elland Road on Friday.

Gudmundsson shares new social media message
Despite little being revealed on the possible injury since Sunday, Gudmundsson has taken his time to reflect on what could have been.

Writing on Instagram on Tuesday evening, the defender admitted that he was still in pain from the defeat, but loved the travelling support at Wembley.

Annoyingly, he revealed nothing about the injury and the possible timeframe for recovery.
More positive injury news from Leeds United
Despite the blow to Gudmundsson, there was some huge news from Wembley.
Anton Stach was a late inclusion in the squad and came off the bench for the entire second half, making a positive impact and nearly scoring.
The German has been a huge loss in midfield when unavailable this season, and another few days of rest should set him up perfectly to take on Burnley.

Farke will likely start the German in that crucial Premier League outing in LS11, with another three points likely enough to all-but-confirm survival this season.
Either way, Gudmundsson seems likely to miss that one, but then would have another 10 days of rest and recovery before a Monday night trip to Tottenham on 11 May.
It’s the Swede’s birthday on Wednesday, so let’s hope that comes with positive injury news, too.
Leeds are a much better team with Gudmundsson available, but James Justin has been in fine form as well, with Joe Rodon likely coming back into defence after his recovery from injury in recent weeks.
No matter what, the Whites simply must beat Burnley.
