Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be looking to end the season strongly with Leeds United.

Prize money aside, Leeds have nothing left to play for on Sunday, though it’s a very different story for West Ham, who need a win to stand a chance at survival.

Nevertheless, Daniel Farke will approach the game as he has done with any game this season, with the intention of going out there and winning it.

The Whites have several injury concerns heading into the clash with the Hammers, with Noah Okafor one of them.

His absence could pile more pressure on Calvert-Lewin to deliver for Leeds, and if he can, he would join the history books.

Leeds top-scorer charts ready for Calvert-Lewin’s name

There’s no doubt about it at this stage; Calvert-Lewin will finish as Leeds’ top scorer barring something completely out of the ordinary at the London Stadium.

The former Toffees star has notched on 14 occasions in the Premier League this season, which makes him the highest-scoring Englishman in the top flight.

However, if he can add to that this weekend, he would become only the third ever Leeds striker to score 15 or more goals in a Premier League season since 2000.

Mark Viduka and Patrick Bamford are the other two, with the latter having scored 17 times in the 2020-21 season under Marcelo Bielsa.

How has Calvert-Lewin fared vs West Ham in the past?

In the 15 encounters that he has had with the Hammers, Calvert-Lewin has been on the winning side seven times, most recently in the FA Cup quarter-final.

In fact, he has never lost against West Ham since he signed for Leeds, having also played 87 minutes in the 2-1 win back in October.

The Whites star has scored seven goals in those 15 games, but has never managed an assist.

Given the lack of goals in that Irons side this season, a goal against them this weekend may well be enough to relegate them.
