Daniel James is a Leeds United fitness doubt for a reunion with former side Manchester United this weekend.

The Wales international is on a small list of players to have represented both clubs.

James missed last week's loss to Arsenal with an injury sustained while away with his national side.

Leeds do not have many other injuries to contend with, whereas the visitors to Elland Road have a fair few players either out or doubtful.

Michael Carrick has confirmed Lisandro Martinez, who called out director Jason Wilcox this week, will be part of the Man United squad.

What is latest Leeds team news?

Daniel Farke confirmed at his pre-match press conference on Friday that James is back in Leeds training,

However, he has not been training at the top level and, after a week-and-a-half off, it seems unlikely he will be risked here.

Joe Rodon is Leeds' only notable confirmed absentee, but the defender is now only a week away from the 'eight-to-10-week' prediction made for his return.

Matteo Joseph is also out with an ACL injury sustained on loan at Real Mallorca last season, but he is not part of Farke's first-team plans.

Leeds players out: Joe Rodon (hamstring), Matteo Joseph (knee).

Doubts: Daniel James (back).

What is latest Man United injury news?

Luke Shaw - hailed "fantastic" by Carrick earlier this year - and Kobbie Mainoo picked up knocks as United's poor campaign continued with a 1-1 draw to 10-man Tottenham last week.

The pair subsequently sat out the 2-0 midweek defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Both players have been given a chance of returning against Leeds, with the duo set to undergo late fitness tests.

Defender Noussair Mazraoui, who has not played in exactly a month, is another doubt.

Man United also have three players who are definitely out, including forward Benjamin Sesko with a shin injury.

Patrick Dorgu and Manuel Ugarte are the others ruled out with a thigh and knee injury respectively.

Man United players out: Patrick Dorgu (thigh), Manuel Ugarte (knee), Benjamin Sesko (shin).

Doubts: Luke Shaw (knock), Kobbie Mainoo (knock), Noussair Mazraoui (back).
