Joe Rodon injury hope shared after Leeds United blow vs Brentford
Leeds United star Joe Rodon went off injured against Brentford on Sunday.
The centre-back was chasing Kevin Schade when he went to the ground with an issue at Elland Road.
He was replaced by Nico Elvedi in the 34th minute of the contest, a gutting blow for Daniel Farke.
He is such an important player for the Peacocks, and it will be a huge miss if he has to spend significant time on the sidelines.
He featured 35 times last season as the LS11 outfit secured their Premier League status.
Leeds have now been given hope over the extent of the problem, after a new verdict dropped.

It was a gutting blow to see the Welshman go off so early in the clash, with an apparent hamstring problem.
Don Goodman offered his thoughts in the half-time break, and shared his hope for a potential return shortly.
Speaking on Sky Sports (4:55 pm), the commentator said: “As somebody that has suffered from hamstring injuries, I only hope that is a low-grade tear that will keep him out a matter a couple of weeks.”
Farke will be praying that Goodman is right, as Rodon is such a reliable servant at the back.
Why Leeds will be really worried about Rodon injury
Elvedi replaced Rodon in the game, and he will surely be trusted to take over if the 62-cap international is out for a prolonged period.
The Swiss star has featured 73 times for his country and made 318 appearances in the Bundesliga, so he is definitely qualified.
The bigger issue may be the depth. The Whites have Tarik Muharemovic, Jaka Bijol and Elvedi fit, but Farke plays with three centre-backs.
Therefore, they may need to enter the market for cover if Rodon is ruled out for a while, and they only have until Tuesday to do so.
That does not give the recruitment team much time to find a new option that is good enough, so they will be hoping that Goodman's assessment is right.
Otherwise, it could leave them with a lot of work to do and not much time to get it done, which is never the best recipe for squad building
