It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

Leeds United are not interested in signing Tottenham centre-back Juan Foyth, according to journalist Beren Cross.

The Leeds journalist was taking part in a Q&A on Leeds Live on Wednesday when he was asked if Foyth was a legitimate target.

The Sun had claimed that Leeds are readying a £15m bid to sign Foyth whether they keep hold of Ben White or not. That's wide of the mark according to Cross.

Writing on Leeds Live, Cross said, "Foyth is a name which has been linked since Bielsa first arrived. It was an obvious one with his nationality and previously working under Pochettino.

"Those close to Foyth have said there has been nothing from Leeds in any of the windows under Bielsa.

"The links continue but as far as we know, they're not in for him as it stands."

Leeds need to sign some new centre-backs – at least two before the Premier League season kicks off.

Foyth has talked in glowing terms about Bielsa before and said that he'd like to be coached by him.

And, while things haven't worked out for him at Spurs, he is a full Argentina international and highly rated.

Leeds do have a problem, here, though. Ben White is the player they want to sign, but with the transfer window staying open until October, way past the start of the season, they can't hang about.

With Gaetano Berardi out for at least six months, that just leaves Liam Cooper as a senior centre-back at the moment.

Leeds can't afford to wait too long for White and at some point they will have to move for other targets.

We'd like to see Foyth at Elland Road but it looks like The Sun's report is wide of the mark.
