NFL superstar Maxx Crosby sends message as Leeds United investment confirmed

NFL superstar Maxx Crosby has confirmed that he has joined Leeds United’s ownership group.

The Las Vegas Raiders defensive end is one of the premier players in the American Football league, known for his hard-hitting style.

He announced on 20 February that he has invested in the Whites, joining the staple of celebrities that the 49ers Enterprises have brought in.

The Elland Road club are attracting several high-profile names, and the five-time Pro Bowl star is just the latest to come on board at Leeds.

What did Crosby say about Leeds investment?

Crosby took to social media to confirm the investment, revealing that he is proud to make the move into English football.

In a message attached to his Instagram post on 20 February, he said: “Winners recognize winners.

“Proud to invest with Leeds United

“All in on the culture.”

He also attached a bicep emoji, with a white heart and a blue heart.

What other celebrities are involved with Leeds?

The 49ers have attracted a lot of celebrities to invest in the Peacocks, the most notable of which is probably basketball star Larry Nance Jr.

The Cleveland Cavaliers star regularly tweets about the LS11 club, and has been spotted attending matches and posting images on social media in Leeds gear.

Will Ferrell is another famous investor in the Yorkshire club, holding a minority stake, and he also seems to have fallen in love with the Whites.

The actor has been spotted filming chants in the stands, and getting on with the Leeds fanbase, and fully embracing his status with the club.

Jordan Speith and Justin Thomas, prominent golfers, are also invested in the club, as is Olympic swimming hero Michael Phelps.

Actor Russell Crowe is another who is known to be a part of the ownership group, as well as former US politician Jim Messina.

The more celebrities, the better, as it helps to increase the club’s presence across the world, and add visibility to their progress.

Crosby is a huge name in arguably the biggest sport in America, so, to get him on board, will only increase the Whites’ appeal across the pond even further.

Leeds are on an upward trajectory under the current ownership, so more and more famous faces will likely invest in the future.
