Junior Firpo set to sign five-year contract at Leeds United

Leeds United are set to hand Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo a five-year contract at Elland Road this week.

Barcelona desperately need to raise funds, and it has led to Leeds sealing what looks like a bargain deal for the former Betis man.

Victor Orta and Marcelo Bielsa are said to have persuaded Firpo this week, after coming out of nowhere.

Leeds' move to sign the left-back was described as a hurricane by some, as they beat the likes of AC Milan to his signature.

It is a big show of faith from the Whites, who look set to lose Ezgjan Alioski once his contract expires on Thursday.
