'Usually...' - Beckford shares how Ryan Giggs still reacts to FA Cup defeat to Leeds
Leeds United started the previous decade with that famous victory over Manchester United, and they will look to do the same this time around when they travel to Arsenal.
Jermaine Beckford scored the winner that day, and it is hard to say if that was his most important goal for the club – but it is certainly up there.
It wasn’t like Sir Alex Ferguson had selected a weak team either, with his side including the likes of Wayne Rooney just making the victory even sweeter.
Speaking in a restaurant in Salford, Beckford revealed how Ryan Giggs still to this day recalls that single match, claiming he can’t get his head around the defeat to the Whites.
“Giggsy’s usually in here,” he told the Daily Mail.
“Ryan was having a business meeting over there the other week and we walked past and he went, I still can’t believe it.”

That will be music to the ears of most Leeds fans, who still recall that victory as one the club’s greatest ever when, at the time, a League One side strolled into Old Trafford and progressed to the next round of the FA Cup.
The trip to Arsenal will be the first big cup clash in the reign of Marcelo Bielsa, who if last year is to go by, will make wholesale changes in North London.
Bielsa handed numerous academy stars their debuts against Queens Park Rangers, and they put up a brave effort in a 2-1 defeat.
With the draw that bit harder this time around, it would be no surprise to see fewer changes, but knowing Bielsa he will still want to progress as far as possible in the competition.
