QPR duo remain sidelined, 27-year-old pushing for recall v Leeds - Sky Sports

Leeds United travel to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday looking to put their poor recent run to an end in the Championship.

On top of that, the Whites haven’t won in London since 2017. Their last win in the capital was in 2017 when they picked up three points at Loftus Road in a 3-1 victory over their next opponents.

That one win is just a small part of the problem though. Leeds have only won once in their last 19 trips to the capital – something which needs to change.

Mark Warburton will be without Yoann Barbet and Charlie Owens for the game, with Jack Clarke being made available after moving to QPR on loan in the week.

Sky Sports have updated their team news, claiming that Jordan Hugill is pushing for a start after missing out in the 3-1 defeat against Brentford.

“Striker Jordan Hugill is among those pushing for a recall to the starting line-up as Mark Warburton’s side bid for just a second league win in seven matches,” they wrote.

Hugill would potentially replace Nakhi Wells upfront – something that could please Leeds. The 27-year-old last scored against the Whites in 2016 on the final day of the season that year.

Wells, on the other hand, has consistently found the back of the net against the Whites. He scored at Elland Road last season, and even before that was a constant thorn in our side when playing at Huddersfield.

Either way, Leeds will want to dominate the ball and make sure that they don’t give the home side the chances to score regardless of who is picked as their main striker.
