Leeds United Under-23s made it three wins on the spin against Sheffield United on a bitter Friday afternoon in Yorkshire.

Those fans who braved the cold were rewarded with a number of first-team faces, with Barry Douglas, Ezgjan Alioski, and Gaetano Berardi all completing 45 minutes.

After weeks out with injury, Eddie Nketiah also returned to the fold by coming on at half time and completing the second half for Carlos Corberan.

We managed to grab a quick word with Nketiah when he was warming up at half time, asking whether or not he would be involved with the senior side against Middlesbrough.

The Arsenal loanee was far from convincing in his response ahead of the game on Saturday, simply replying "Not sure yet".

Marcelo Bielsa was putting a number of the first team through their paces ahead of that game, and they made their way back inside midway through the first half of the under-23s clash.

Adam Forshaw and Tyler Roberts were noticeable absentees from the session, but apart from that everyone was present.

The Welsh international was at Thorp Arch but left early around half an hour before anyone else did at Leeds' training complex.

Bielsa revealed after the 1-0 win against Reading on Tuesday that Roberts felt some tightness in his muscle, and it was too much of a risk to let him continue [The Athletic].

Bielsa confirmed Roberts isn't ready for the game against Middlesbrough on Saturday, and we think there could definitely be a spot for Nketiah in the squad. Should neither be named, Leeds would find it hard for attacking options off the bench to potentially change the game if needed.
