Leeds United stance on Rangers ace Ryan Kent shared as Luis Sinisterra closes in
Leeds United will now not be making a move for Rangers attacker Ryan Kent this summer, according to The Scotsman.
The Englishman has been a long-term transfer target for the Elland Road outfit, but a move for Luis Sinisterra would mean that they do not pursue his services in this window.
In the early hours of Wednesday, July 6, Fabrizio Romano tweeted that the Colombian is all set to move to Leeds in the coming days.
It’s also understood that if Rangers get a substantial fee from Joe Aribo’s sale, then they will be less inclined to sell Kent this summer.
Don’t need him
Kent has been on Leeds’ radar for a while, but a move for him has never seemed to materialise and he’s stayed on at Ibrox.

However, now with them closing in on the 23-year-old, they may have got the long-term Raphinha replacement that they were desiring.
While Kent is a decent player who would add something to the Leeds side, we do not see him starting ahead of Jack Harrison either.
Rather than adding to their strength in depth, the Whites need to sign a striker and possibly a left-back before things get too late.
Thus far, Victor Orta must be given due credit for the incomings as he’s done a good job in signing them before the pre-season tour of Australia.
His job remains incomplete as long as the two aforementioned positions aren’t addressed as the board needs to back the manager unconditionally if they are to avoid a repeat of last season.
In other Leeds United, a Whites defender heavily admired by Marcelo Bielsa could permanently seal his permanent exit this summer with there being genuine interest in his services.
