Leeds United fans were blown away by young forward Max Dean after he scored for the Under-23s in their win against Middlesbrough on Sunday.

Dean, 16, has been in sensational form for the Under-23s this season despite only playing in a handful of matches.

The striker, who turns 17 later this month, now has three goals in his four Premier League 2 appearances this term after sweeping home Crysencio Summerville’s low cross in the third minute of the Under-23s’ 4-2 win against Boro at Rockliffe Park.

Leeds fans love to see how their young players are getting on and Dean is someone who is starting to make waves among those who are keen admirers of the Under-23s.

One believes it’s “insane” that Dean isn’t a mainstay of Mark Jackon’s Under-23s by now while another claims that the 16-year-old is one to watch.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

File Dean under the growing list of youngsters who are ones to watch at Thorp Arch.

As a 16-year-old to be doing so well in an Under-23s league, you know that Dean is someone who is showing a lot of potential.

He hasn’t been as one fire for the Under-18s this term, failing to score in six Under-18s Premier League appearances for Leeds.

But when he’s surrounded by players with better quality like Summerville, Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood, it’s clear the teenage sensation can be a force to be reckoned with.

Dean is definitely someone to keep a close eye on in the coming years.

In other Leeds United news, this Palace star is a huge doubt for the game on Monday.
