‘Utter tripe yet again’ – Many Leeds fans hit out over ‘Underwhelming’ Cuisance alternative

Leeds United fans are less than impressed by reports linking them with a move for Leicester City’s Demarai Gray after failing to sign Michael Cuisance.

According to the Telegraph, Leeds have set their sights on signing Gray, 24, after the £18million deal to sign Cuisance, 21, from Bayern Munich fell apart due to him failing a medical at Elland Road.

It is understood that Gray will be made available by Leicester if a good offer comes along and the former Birmingham player would be interested in a move to a club like Leeds.

Leeds are widely reported to be after a new winger and central midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Cuisance is more of a central player so it is hard to see how Gray would be an alternative but the former England Under-21 international is still a player who Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta would want to sign.

However, Leeds fans are not at all happy with the club’s decision to pursue Gray, with one dubbing the Leicester outcast as an “underwhelming” alternative.

Leicester fans seem to be in support of Gray joining Leeds, which backs up why so many Leeds supporters are against the idea of signing him.

Gray is hardly featuring at Leicester at the moment having failed to make any of Brendan Rodgers’ matchday squads in the Premier League this season.

He also started just three league starts for the Foxes last season but still played a role in the East Midlands club’s impressive campaign by scoring three goals and assisting five in 29 appearances across all competitions.

Would Gray be a good signing for Leicester?

We always like to see what fans of the selling club say about the player when transfer reports like this emerge and what Leicester supporters have said is quite damning.
