‘Really?’, ‘Disgraceful’, ‘Frauds’ – Some Leeds and WBA fans baffled by same thing in EFL tweet

Leeds United and West Brom fans have been left baffled after the EFL’s official Twitter account put together four six-a-side teams with players from the Championship.

Some of the second-tier’s top players have been included in the four teams with Joe Lolley, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Eberechi Eze all named by the EFL.

However Leeds and Baggies fans cannot get their head around the fact that the only players who’ve been used from the top-two clubs are goalkeepers Kiko Casilla and Sam Johnstone.

We need to say something about Casilla’s involvement here.

The 33-year-old is currently banned from playing after he was found to have racially abused a fellow professional last September.

Do the EFL really think it’s wise to be including him in what is supposed to be a light-hearted bit of fun?

Also, the Spaniard has been pretty poor for Leeds most of this season and you could have picked at least 10 other United players to represent the Yorkshire club in this bit of fun.

It’s the same for West Brom with Johnstone. Although the former Manchester United goalkeeper has actually done quite well this season, where are Matheus Pereira, Jake Livermore and Semi Ajayi?

It’s such an odd tweet by the EFL and you can see why so many Leeds fans have hit out at it on Twitter.

There were even some West Brom fans who were unhappy with the EFL’s selection because of there not being any outfield players from the West Midlands club.

Here is what they had to say:

In other Leeds United news, Chelsea want to sign this Leeds loanee who’s been compared to a Real Madrid mainstay.
